This 16” square platter is made from pressed murrine mounds. This process gives the pice a very intriguing, mysterious quality that invites close looking.

ABOUT THE PRESSED MURRINE SERIES

Using a special kiln, glass rods are made and then chopped into short segments. These pieces are then placed on end and fired, creating mounds, which are then pressed into sheets, which can be formed into bowls, plates and platters

DISPLAY

This piece can be displayed upright on either a horizontal surface or a wall, using either a hand-crafted wood easel or a Plexiglas easel, which can be purchased separately (COMING SOON). The piece can be moved with ease between horizontal use or display and upright display.
