Mound Murrine Platter

Using a special kiln, glass rods is made. Then the rods are chopped into short segments and fired again, which changes the short segments into a half-dome or mound shape. the mounds are then used to compose bowls, plates, and platters.

ABOUT THE MOUND MURRINE SERIES

Using a special kiln, glass rods is made. Then the rods are chopped into short segments and fired again, which changes the short segments into a half-dome or mound shapes. The mounds are then used to compose bowls, plates, and platters.

DISPLAY

This piece can be displayed upright on either a horizontal surface or a wall, using either a hand-crafted wood easel or a Plexiglas easel, which can be purchased separately (COMING SOON). The piece can be moved with ease between horizontal use or display and upright display.
